RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly high quality, adjustable pads I saw the one star review for the Brian's Zero G arm pads on this site that cited poor build quality and the opinion that they appeared to be made in China. That is NOT the case with the Brian's Pro Stock arm pads I just bought. These are first quality, Canadian made elite level arm and chest pads. I liked the fact I could raise the arms a bit to accommodate my gloves. They run true to size and I'm happy I bought the XL - I'm 6'1" tall and weigh 225 pounds and these are a good fit. With the arm adjustability, you could probably be 6'3" or have really long arms and they could be adjusted to fit. The materials are first rate, the stitching is clean and accurate, the graphics are well done and stitched in place, not silk screened. There is padding behind the lower part of the chest pad - a double layer to protect the abdomen. There are hard elbow pads sandwiched between layers of foam and the the nylon covering. The ONLY knock I have on these pads is that the lace used to attached the arms to the chest section is a cheap cotton shoe lace. I replaced it with nylon cord. The neck guard naturally pulls into place when you crouch but is not annoying like a true neck collar. They took a few skates to break in - they are flexible but a bit stiff like any new set of arm pads. They have triple shoulder protection pads - front, top and rear with a hard plastic inside like the elbow pads. One cool feature I really liked was the ability to lower the back plate so it was easier to attach the buckles. They have good rib wrap around protection and are light. In summary, a solid, Canadian made highly adjustable chest protector at a great price.

PRODUCT Q & A

Which one is better?

Which is better, the brains Zero G pro stock chest & arm or the ccm 500 chest & arm?
Asked by: Anonymous
Both are great Pro level unit. For the clearance price, the Brian's is a tough one to beat.

How does this compare to the vaughn 7600 chest protector?

Asked by: Anonymous
Quality and protection-wise, the Vaughn 7600 and the Brian's Pro Stock will be the same. Fit wise, the Brian's will run much bigger than the Vaughn. The Brian's is a more "blocking style" C/A with much of the bulk at the shoulders. The Vaughn is more of a mobile C/A unit.
