Runner replacement

What is the model number for the Bauer replacement runner on these skates, and does it come in multiple heights?
Asked by: goalienyc1
The Reactor 4000 skate uses a 4mm steel. Currently (as of 3/26/15), the only 4mm steel that we have in stock is the Step Steel, which is about 1/4" taller than the Bauer Replacement steel: http://goalie.totalhockey.com/product/Bauer_4_mm_Steel_Replacement_Goalie_Runner/itm/9948-2/?mtx_id=0 You can also get Step 4mm "Extreme" steel which is much taller: http://goalie.totalhockey.com/product/Bauer_Xtreme_4_MM_Replacement_Goalie_Runners/itm/9949-2/?mtx_id=0 Hope that helps.

I'm 6'4" 215 pounds. Are these skates stiff enough in the boot to hold up for someone my size?

Asked by: Heipfam
The answer to this question depends on a lot of factors. If you're playing 1-2 times per week and you expect to have these skates for about 3-5 years, then yes - they're stiff enough to support you. However, if you're playing 3-5 times a week and expect these to be your last set of skates, then no - I would recommend something more stiff like the Reactor 6000, or possibly the Supreme NXG or ONE.9.
