Bauer Supreme S190 Senior Goalie Leg Pad

If you're looking for an elite level pad, but don't want to spend an small fortune, the S190's are worth a long look. The first thing you might notice while looking, is striking lack of seams and stitching on the face of the pad. Reverse stitching and digitally printed graphics combine to create the most flawless pad face we've seen yet, producing a streamlined imperfection free surface.

The other most notable addition will be found on the back of the pad in the revamped strapping system Bauer has implemented. Drawing from the strides they've made in their player's gear the S190 is outfitted with their Custom Rotation Strapping System that is built with velcro and high durability fabric, rather than the traditional leather and buckle systems of the past. The guts of the pad also received a face lift, with an adjustable Poron XRD knee lock finding its way into the landing zone, providing players with even more ways to customize the fit of their gear. Factor in the revamped toe and boot straps, and you have a pad that's ready to be put to the test, with improvements in weight, fit, and protection.

I have Bauer reactor pads right now because I rely a lot on my agility,I was wondering how much these weigh, how many interior breaks they have, and if it would be an appropriate decision to switch and I like a pad that is light, but is very close to my leg

Asked by: Jake 35
The Reactor and the Supreme are completely different pads. It would be best to try them on before purchasing. https://www.bauer.com/goalie-ice-hockey-pads/supreme/s190-goal-pad

Question on leg pads: For a 13 yo minor bantam playing AA bantam, aka major.. two games a week, two practices a week. He is going to grow. Torn between the s170 and s190.

Asked by: Walrus201618
The S190 is a much better pad that will give you more durability being on the ice that much.

How is the quality compared to the OD1N? I play 4-5 times a week against highschoolers, how would this hold up? And do they slide as well as the OD1N?

Asked by: Hockey goalie 88
Playing 4-5 times a week vs high school shooters and going into junior hockey, I would recommend the OD1N leg pads.

How is the Velcro quality, because I don't want to buy this and have the Velcro worn out in a year or two.

Asked by: Hockey goalie 88
So far, we have not had much if any complaints about the Velcro quality. It is designed to last the life of the pad and, if the pads are cared for properly, you should not experience any trouble with the Velcro.

Coming from xlts would these play and feel similar on the ice? The weight and changes make these more intriguing than the premieres

Asked by: 33goal
The XLT and the OD1N will feel completely different.

What are some differences between the s190's and the s170's? I'm deciding on which to get and want to know how much better quality the s190's are, since the price difference is big.

Asked by: hockeygoalie30
There will be some big differences. It really depends on the level of play that you will be using them in to determine what pad will be the best for you.
