The Brian's Sub Zero Pro 3 blocker is brand new for 2015, and it strikes the perfect balance of superior protection, mobility, and lightweight design.
The blocker face features a bindingless design which allows the HD and E-foam blocking board to be the maximum allowable width. The large, HD foam sideboard has been made thicker than the older SZ Pro 2 design which provides signficiantly more protection. Underneath the sideboard sits a removeable sidwall cushion to provide even more protection, and it also keeps the sidewall from being pushed inward towards the hand when it is impacted directly.
The wrist cuff features a new single flap design that creates an ultra-large wrist opening. The palm is made of a combination of cream colored Nash with a SBA "no slip" material in the palm. This SBA material gets tackier as it gets wet, which helps the goalie maintain control of the stick no matter how much he/she sweats during a game. Spring mesh finger gussets provide flexibility and promote air flow. Brian's exclusive X-static material lines the finger stalls. This material, which is made with silver fibers throughout, has been shown to kill 99% of the bacteria that it comes into contact with - great for preventing staph and "glove stink". The palm is centered underneath the blocking board for a well balanced feel on the hand.
The upgraded finger protection features a solid one-piece design for increased protection and reduced weight.
Measure your hand from the heel of the palm to the tip of the middle finger, then consult the chart below to find the size that will work for you.

Key to a Proper Fit:
The blocker should be fitted based on hand size. The goalie's fingers should be no more than 1/4" from the end of the fingers in the palm. If the fingers are too long, chances are the hand tabs that tie down the palm to the blocker are too large. This will cause the blocker to wobble, tilt or rotate on the goaltender's hand, seriously affecting control while limiting coverage (blocking surface).
