The Canadian-made Brian's Sub Zero Pro 3 catch glove is everything that you want in a trapper. The glove is a perfect marriage of light weight, performance, and innovation, with a special feature that harkens back to one of the most iconic designs of the past. Here's why you need this glove in your bag:
True One-Piece Cuff Design: Unlike the Sub Zero Pro 2 glove, which had a one-piece front and a two-piece backhand, the Sub Zero Pro 3 features true one-piece construction. This design makes for a more stiff blocking surface, which is the way butterfly goalies prefer it. The thumb mold has also been modified to be lighter and slightly more concave so as to direct more pucks into the awesome.....
...Single "Anchor T" Web: Yes - the Anchor T is back! Fans of this design from the 90's will recognize the modified version of it on the new SZ3. Unlike the 90's design, however, the 2015 version has a much thinner vertical spine, a much wider horizontal bridge, and much deeper overall design. The net effect is a lightweight pocket that makes catching pucks a nearly effortless task.
Laceless, 40 Degree Glove Palm: Fans of the Sub Zero Pro 2 design will be happy to know that the break on the new SZ3 glove hasn't changed. Those who haven't tried the glove yet just plain love the glove break. The "40 Degree" design closes slightly closer to the thumb than traditional 60 degree closures, and it allows the goalie to use more of his/her hand to snap the glove shut. All stock gloves come with "Game Ready" breaks so that they're ready to use as soon as you get it.
Incredibly Comfortable Internal Palm: The internals of the SZ3 catcher feature spring mesh finger stalls which - along with the palm - have been lined with Brian's exclusive X-static material. This material is woven with silver fiber which has been shown to kill 99% of the bacteria that come into contact with it - great for preventing staph and "glove stink". The innovative 360 Degree cuff that originally appeared in the G-NETiK trapper has been incorporated into the SZ3, and this cuff is lined with a comfortable "Hex-Air" No Slip Grip material. This material gets tackier as it gets wet, helping the glove to stay snug on the hand no matter how much the goalie sweats.
Weight: A stock Sub Zero Pro 3 trapper weighs only 2.2lbs.

Keys to a Proper Fit:
- The goalie's fingers should extend out to the end of the finger stalls of the inside palm to ensure a proper fit. However, any more than 1/2" from the tip of the goaltender's finger to the end of the finger stall and the goaltender will not have the leverage needed to properly close and control the glove.
- The heel of your hand should line up with the heel and cuff of the catcher. If not, the proper balance between the cuff and catching portion of the glove may be disturbed, making the glove too cumbersome while sacrificing protection.
