PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CCM Extreme Flex II 860 Goalie Glove

The highly successful CCM Extreme Flex line of goalie gear has been revamped and upgraded in 2015 in order to offer you an even more premier pad than in the previous E-Flex models. The 860 Glove offers you a comfortable 75-degree break that provides natural closure. Like it's predecessor, the E-Flex 500, it also features a contoured catching area that is engineered to direct the puck into the deep Single-T pocket. A great feature for those who live by the glove save. As with the rest of the Extreme Flex glove line, the Extreme Flex 860 features a one-piece cuff design that will offer a maximum surface area on the front of the glove for the most possibly net coverage. If you loved the E-Flex 500 glove, the Extreme Flex 860 should be right up your alley!

SIZE CHART

Measure your hand from the heel of the palm to the tip of the middle finger, then consult the chart below to find the size that will work for you.

Catch Glove Sizing Chart
YOUTH JUNIOR INTERMEDIATE SENIOR
4 3/4 - 5 5/8 in. 5 5/8 - 6 1/4 in. 6 1/4 - 7 in. 7 - 8 3/8 in.
119 - 143 cm 144 - 160 cm 161 - 178 cm 179 - 213 cm

Keys to a Proper Fit:

  • The goalie's fingers should extend out to the end of the finger stalls of the inside palm to ensure a proper fit. However, any more than 1/2" from the tip of the goaltender's finger to the end of the finger stall and the goaltender will not have the leverage needed to properly close and control the glove.

  • The heel of your hand should line up with the heel and cuff of the catcher. If not, the proper balance between the cuff and catching portion of the glove may be disturbed, making the glove too cumbersome while sacrificing protection.

RATINGS & REVIEWS

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh it could be better I bough this around a month ago after using the ccm eflex 500 glove for a year until I joined my high school team and every shot I took started to hurt. i got this glove and started to really like it but last night at practice one of the seniors probably going to play jr A next year took a shot hit me in the pom and broke two fingers, it is a good glove if you play house or maybe some lower level teams, probably not high school

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor protection. Definitely do not purchase. DO NOT under any circumstances purchase this catcher. We bought Senior glove and my son used it for 3 weeks. Used to use Brian catchers, but he wanted the matching CCM glove and CCM blocker for his pads. He got a PeeWee AA shot in practice that caused a nasty stinger that kept him out of 2 games and 2 practices. Zero confidence in the glove, will not use again. I do understand that it's not a pro-palm, but did not expect it to be so poorly padded. Feel stupid that we didn't do our homework beforehand. After discussions with CCM and Total Hockey, the CCM people tell me that it's not a defect since all the gloves were designed with minimal padding in the area - and that I should have bought the much more expensive Pro-palm model instead. $250 bucks down the drain... and remember this is a mid-grade glove (not entry level) being sold to adults. Very disappointing, especially since we have used CCM pads for 3 years now. The worst part is - I can't sell it someone else without telling them how bad it is. Not a good place to be. Don't take my word for it - View the photo which shows the location where there is no padding... Feel free to go into Total Hockey and check the lack of padding for yourselves. Compare it to a Brian or Vaughn, and then stay far away.
