The Premier P2.5 Leg Pads from CCM provide ultimate feel and performance for the junior goaltender. The premier family has been a popular lineage from the pro level down to a junior level pad, and on this year’s Premier P2.5 leg pad the junior goaltender was kept in mind.

SpeedSkin technology is used on the exterior of the goalie pad. This embossed synthetic material is used over the traditional clarino to provide a faster slide on the ice and for better strength against wear and tear. SpeedSkin has been used since the 2017 Extreme Flex line and is now seen on all CCM goalie gear moving forward.

The new Quick Motion strapping is featured on the Premier P2.5 leg pads as well. This new strapping seen on the pro level model as well was engineered to provide the quickest response from the pad while minimizing any unnecessary straps or material. These straps are very easy to use, so a young goaltender can strap on a pad in minutes all by themselves. Not only are these straps easy to use but they perform well, providing the right amount of give from the elastic straps, and a nylon calf wrap to keep the pad secure.

The Premier P2.5 leg pads are a single external break for maximum coverage, and pre-curved to assist closing the 5-hole. The boot is shallow and soft making loading for a butterfly push or getting deep in your stance much easier, and is a 60-degree angle for directing pucks into the corners.

Overall the CCM Premier P2.5 leg pads are a lightweight, peak performing junior leg pad perfect for the modern junior goaltender.

CCM utilizes a "Floor to Knee" fit guide to determine the proper leg pad size to meet your needs.  To determine your "Floor to Knee" measurement, measure the distance from the floor (in bare feet) to the middle of the knee cap, straight up, knees slightly bent.  Find this measurement in the chart below, then look at the number above it to find your pad size.

If fitted properly, the goalie's knee should rest in the center of the knee cradle with the pad securely attached to the goal skate and properly strapped on the goaltender's leg. Generally, this will ensure that the pad breaks (bends) at the knee/shin and ankle as designed for optimal performance.
