The shell is designed specifically to fit over bulkier goalie pants. It includes a nylon belt and lace-up tie in front to ensure it doesn't fall off as the game goes on. The shell is made of abrasion-resistant, 800 denier nylon, meaning you will rarely need to replace it if ever.
It is suggested that you buy your shell in a size above your goalie pant size to get a proper fit (e.g. Medium pant size = Large shell size).
