The Vapor line by Bauer is designed to be lightweight, foster mobility, and enhance performance. The goalie sticks are no exception to this ideology. New for 2017, the X900 uses new technology and expert craftsmanship to provide goalies with a one-of-a-kind experience.
The Vapor X900 has the feel and puck dampening that many love about foam core sticks, but with the weight and durability of a composite stick. Bauer uses Balsa wood to increase dampening properties and dramatically reduce the weight. The paddle is also contoured to have a flat face and rounded back, giving goalies optimal balance in their stances and improved feel while puck handling.
The blade of the X900 employs Bauer’s low-density blade core, which balances the weight of the stick and creates a more consistent feel of the puck. INNEGRA fiber wraps the outside of the blade as well, increasing durability in the highest-traffic area of the stick.
The composite shaft is complete with a GripTac shoulder and double-concave walls, giving goalies a more secure hand placement in stance and increasing maneuverability on the handle respectively.
