CCM Extreme Flex II 860 Leg Pads

The highly successful CCM Extreme Flex line of goalie gear has been revamped and upgraded in 2015 in order to offer you an even more premier pad than in the previous E-Flex model. The 860 Legs offer a 90-degree soft boot for increased mobility, and a flat inside edge for maximum stability. In addition to this, CCM has featured their new Torsional Flex system which will make the boot even softer and more flexible. It also features a large knee cradle and landing surface for optimal balance, especially when in the butterfly position. As with the rest of the line, the Extreme Flex 860 features a low-density soft foam that will help to control rebounds off of the pad face. If you were a fan of the original CCM Extreme Flex 500, you will love the Extreme Flex II 860!

How many Straps does this pad have? I have seen some conflicting pictures. Some show 5 straps, other shows 4 straps. The difference appears to be in the straps attached to the landing pad of the knee. Some show 2 straps, other show 1.

Asked by: Rob197
There are 5 straps.

How does sizing compare to Vaughn and Bauer? I've heard CCM can run large. Knee placement is perfect in both Bauer and Vaughn 35+1.

Asked by: Mantooth
Vaughn and Bauer will be similar from ankle to knee. CCM runs a probably a size smaller. It is best to try them prior to purchasing.

How do these pads compare to the Extreme flex Pro?
Asked by: Jpatt
There will be some differences between the Pro and the 860. One of the most noticeable features is that the Pro will feature a D30 technology while the 860 does not. The pro is also constructed of Jenpro material while the 860 features a microfiber technology.

Can you remove the top leather strap that runs through the knee stack(the one in the middle)?

Asked by: davbo30
Yes, you can do that. That will be the only knee strap so if you remove that strap, you will just the velcro knee strap.
