The Premier P2.5 goalie glove from CCM provides great protection and ease of use for the junior goaltender. A tried and true design combined with a game ready palm make this glove a front runner for young goalies looking to transition from a youth glove.
The P2.5 goalie glove starts with a one-piece design that has become a lot more popular over the tradition two-piece design. From there the glove features SpeedSkin technology adding both a more durable material and reduced weight. The closure on the Premier P2.5 glove is CCM’s famous 590 Angle break, which is very easy and natural to close, and the palm is game ready so it break-in is a breeze. The double t pocket allows for better vision of the puck inside the pocket.
When it comes to protection on this goal glove the cuff and thumb are an injection molded PE foam and the palm is ¼” felt/foam. This amount of protection is the perfect balance for a junior goaltender who needs a good amount of padding in the palm, but not so much that they cannot close the glove. The glove can be adjusted on the fly with a webbing wrist strap that runs through the cuff for optimal fit.
Measure your hand from the heel of the palm to the tip of the middle finger, then consult the chart below to find the size that will work for you.

Keys to a Proper Fit:
- The goalie's fingers should extend out to the end of the finger stalls of the inside palm to ensure a proper fit. However, any more than 1/2" from the tip of the goaltender's finger to the end of the finger stall and the goaltender will not have the leverage needed to properly close and control the glove.
- The heel of your hand should line up with the heel and cuff of the catcher. If not, the proper balance between the cuff and catching portion of the glove may be disturbed, making the glove too cumbersome while sacrificing protection.
