The Premier P2.9 catch glove from CCM continues their success of creating amazing goalie gloves. This glove will feel very similar to previous premier gloves due to the increased popularity of its design, but there are some minor changes to make it even better.
The biggest update to the Premier P2.9 glove is the addition of SpeedSkin technology. This external material is an embossed synthetic material that will hold up to wear and tear longer which carried over from the 2017 Extreme Flex III line. Another new feature is the double tee pocket which allows for greater visibility of the puck in the pocket.
This glove also features a one-piece cuff for maximum coverage, a game ready palm for easy break-in, and a 590 break angle. The 590 has been the stock go-to break angle for the premier glove for years and is widely used and admired. The fit of the P2.9 can be dialed in with adjustments in the finer stalls, backhand, and wrist.
Measure your hand from the heel of the palm to the tip of the middle finger, then consult the chart below to find the size that will work for you.

Keys to a Proper Fit:
- The goalie's fingers should extend out to the end of the finger stalls of the inside palm to ensure a proper fit. However, any more than 1/2" from the tip of the goaltender's finger to the end of the finger stall and the goaltender will not have the leverage needed to properly close and control the glove.
- The heel of your hand should line up with the heel and cuff of the catcher. If not, the proper balance between the cuff and catching portion of the glove may be disturbed, making the glove too cumbersome while sacrificing protection.
