The 2013 Bauer NME 8 Goalie Mask follows in the footsteps of the NME 7, which was a very successful helmet for Bauer. This year, the materials used in the shell and liner make this mask compete with the top-of-the-line helmets. The shell is built with a fiberglass base, but it features Kevlar in the forehead and chin. Bauer features an new "vibration dampening tape" inside the shell this year which is meant to lessen vibration within the shell during impacts. The foam is is constructed of three VN foam layers, with comfort foam added in pressure zones. A Thermo-Max sweatband works with these foams to provide you great comfortability!
