For 2018 the goal pad has been re-engineered to be 20% lighter than the previous generation and built for performance to dominate the crease. this 20% decrease in weight is due to the litecore technology which uses dual density core to eliminate excess weight while improving torsional strength to maximize coverage and stability and help seal the pad to the ice. 

Adding to the internals on the pad is the max rebound technology, featuring directional energy transfer foam offering powerful rebounds, eliminating the shooters chance at a second shot. 

On the back of the pad is a redesigned leg channel that optimizes rotation, and the new quick motion strap system which increases responsiveness for faster butterfly drop velocity and quicker recovery from the butterfly.
