The innovations in the rest of the Ritual G2 Pro line also make their way to the blocker, where several new and enhanced features make this the best blocker that Warrior has ever produced.
The blocking board itself is nice and thick, and the flare at the top is more pronounced than on the previous Ritual model. This helps open up the cuff a bit more, and it presents more blocking surface towards the shooter while in the goalie's stance.
The sidewall protection is substantial, and it consists of a nearly 1" thick pad that covers the area from the index finger to the wrist. The thumb and forefinger padding is dome shaped to keep the proteciton away from the thumb itself, insuring that impacts will never touch the digits directly. Both the finger and the thumb protection can be adjusted to sit closer to the digits for a more snug fit, or slightly farther away for more finger mobility.
The G2 Blocker features a removable palm that can be moved up and down the board for a precise feel. Want more protection below the fingers? Simply move the palm back from center and re-attach the velcro tabs and backhand. Separate palms of varying sizes (Med, LG, XL) can be purchased separately, which is a fantastic feature for goalies who sweat a lot and want to switch out a dry palm between periods.

Key to a Proper Fit:
The blocker should be fitted based on hand size. The goalie's fingers should be no more than 1/4" from the end of the fingers in the palm. If the fingers are too long, chances are the hand tabs that tie down the palm to the blocker are too large. This will cause the blocker to wobble, tilt or rotate on the goaltender's hand, seriously affecting control while limiting coverage (blocking surface).
